It is with a heavy heart that we share the sad news of the departure of this sweet, sweet soul.  Able was bred and loved by Kevin Henry, spent eighteen months in Finland where he was loved by Anu Honkapirtti, and he enjoyed his last two years at Saddlehill, where he followed the footsteps of his parents and siblings and finished his American championship, under breeder/judges at Specialty shows. He thoroughly enjoyed his days spent basking in the sun poolside or helping raise the latest bunch of puppies in the house, and had a nose for a bitch in season like few other studs!!! :) He was nothing short of a gentleman in every sense of the word and his children around the world carry that torch proudly.

There were no signs of anything being amiss until late one night when he had a bit of a hard time settling for bed.  We got him to the ER, where an abdominal tap and ultrasound confirmed that he was bleeding out from several masses in the liver and spleen. We were able to comfort him and hold that beautiful head one last time and let him go peacefully. He was taken from us way too young... Godspeed, big teddybear.....

Able went WD under Susan Huntzinger (Riverlane) at the High Desert LRC Specialty, November 12, 2006!!

And then he did it again two months later-- WD under Linda Vaughn (Simmerdown) at the Papago LRC on January 12, 2007!!

Able was WD under Liz Muthard at Lake Matthews KC, an LRCSC supported entry, April 29, 2007!!

Able earned two more points under Lorri Isenhath (Dovetail) Burbank KC, September 30, 2007!!

Able went WD under Susan Huntzinger (Riverlane) November 17, 2007!!

Able finished under David Flanagan December 8, 2007

Another puppy from our Early's litter, "Laney" is pictured below at 14 months, April 2008.  Laney won her class at Spirit of St Louis LRC under Manolo Queijeiro.  Laney was Best in Sweepstakes under Karen Helmers, Paradocs Labradors, at the Winnebago LRC supported entry on December 16, 2007.  She was also RWB to a major the same day under Judy Webb!  Not a bad start!!  Laney is owned by Anna Hausmann, www.anialabradors.com
